The Ranger Report #010
November 2024
Front Matter
In this abbreviated issue, take a walk around Little Little Five Points, and make some treats for our neighbors. Hear more about MoR’s progress, and why you might hear less from Wylie for a while.
“Little Little Five Points”
At times progress is messy, and at others progress is sorting out that mess. In this installment of ‘Walks’, we’re joined by neighbor and transportation aficionado Eric Phillips, who will dive into the proposed improvements to the spaghetti junction affectionately known as “Little Little Five Points” (but cartographically known as the intersection of Walthall, Arkwright, Howell Drive, and Flat Shoals). How do you improve a 6-way stop? Can you connect the Trolley Line Trail to the BeltLine?
As a member of the Cabbagetown/Reynoldstown Transportation Committee, and with his experience monitoring and providing feedback on similar projects across Atlanta, Eric provides unique insight into what it takes to improve such a tricky hub of traffic. Join us, Thursday November 7th at 5:30pm.
Thanksgiving Treats for Our Neighbors
Just as they have for nearly twenty years, Reynoldstown Civic Improvement League is putting together Thanksgiving baskets for many of our neighbors. And as the Rangers have for one (1) year, we’re providing homemade treats to go along with the feasts.
If you love to bake, or just want to send a little sweetness to a neighbor, we’d love for you to contribute! Since we have quite a few to make, we’re asking all volunteers to commit to making treats by the quadruple dozen (that’s 48, in case you’re not used to baker’s math).
We’ll also have a packing party beginning at 5 pm on Friday, November 22, which means we need all baked goods in hand by that time.

Museum of Reynoldstown (MoR)We’re halfway to our fundraising goal! Which means we have halfway to go. That’s where you come in–learn more and donate here! |

FARQs (Frequently Asked Reynoldstown Questions)
Last month’s FARQ was a good reminder to all of the Rangers: sometimes Wylie doesn’t have all the answers. His responses are always vetted by several of us, but we missed the mark when we got a question about ParkGrounds, and especially our neighbor Johnny. Wylie has been kicked out of the clubhouse for the time being, and we’d like to convey his–and our–apologies to Johnny.
We'll try to do better, and Wylie will be back in due time.
